This chapter describes Anne's birthing of a second daughter, Bridget on 6 April 1584, which testifies to the practical success of the marital reconciliation reported in 1582 and 1583. It also presents Oxford's attendance record in Elizabeth's Sixth Parliament. Out of 64 sessions Oxford attended only four, of which one opened and one closed this Parliament; Oxford was one of ten lords appointed as ‘triers of petitions from Gascony and other lands beyond the seas and from the islands’.
