This chapter presents letters by Oxford to Cecil written in 1603. In these letters he continued to press his claims for Waltham Forest and Havering Park. Oxford achieved his goal on 18 July. Another piece of good news came on 2 August, when King James issued a reconfirmation of Oxford's £1000 annuity.
