This chapter sums up the key findings of this study on innovative travel writing and globalization. It suggests that the travelogues analyzed in this study reveal the complexities of texts that interrogate the aesthetics of the travelling subject and self-narration in the context of increasingly accessible forms of mobility. It argues that innovative travel writing can help enable the examination of the complex relationships between space, place, movement and identity, and the multiple ways in which these relationships can be represented.

Keywords:   innovative travel writing, globalization, travelling subject, self-narration, mobility, travelogues
