This chapter discusses the influence of Frankism on Polish culture. From the general perspective of Jewish history and the history of Judaism, Frankism may be viewed as a marginal phenomenon. However, from the perspective of Jewish history in Poland and Polish–Jewish relations, Frankism appears to be a more important question. Frankism as a religious movement was not a homogeneous phenomenon. There are three different branches, with the Polish Frankists playing the leading role within the group. Among the important issues in studies of Frankism in Poland are those connected with the multicultural and multi-religious character of the movement and with its impact on Polish culture, especially in the nineteenth century.
