This chapter presents the discourse analytical methodology that analyses the cultural and social construction of reality. It outlines a methodology of frame analysis focusing on the sociological tradition of the American frame. The critical, socio-cognitivist approach to discourse analysis is a methodology applied in a much broader socio-historical context and is aimed at the analysis of frames and their construction.
