This chapter presents an interview with writer Alan Bleasdale, in which he talks about his life and work. With a career spanning over thirty years, Bleasdale has written fifteen stage plays, fourteen works for television, a film, and two novels, but it is for the memorable characters in television dramas, such as Boys from the Blackstuff and GBH, that he is most well known.
