This chapter presents an interview with poet and playwright Levi Tafari, in which he talks about his life and work. Tafari was born in Liverpool in 1960 to parents of Jamaican origin. He has published four collections of poetry: Duboetry (1987), Liverpool Experience (1989), Rhyme Don't Pay (1993), and From the Page to the Stage (2006). Tafari has also worked on educational projects, running creative-writing workshops in schools, colleges, universities, youth centres, prisons, and libraries.
