This chapter discusses the Judeo-Christian tradition from a Christian perspective. Set against the background of the Jewish tradition, it considers the organizing principle of the Christian tradition and the Christian faith. This organizing principle can better be understood through references to four basic motifs of creation, love, hope and the changing of ways.
