This chapter discusses the collaboration of the École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE) with British institutions. It begins by highlighting some of EPHE's specificities against the general background of French higher education institutions (HEIs). It then discusses the current place of Britain in the international strategy of EPHE. The chapter also examines the strengths and weaknesses of EPHE's collaboration with British institutions. Finally, the chapter discusses future developments in this collaboration, which includes opportunities for the development of doctoral and postdoctoral collaboration between Britain and France.
